Plumb Center is now a distributor of a range of vandal-resistant sanitaryware and fittings from Vandal Resistant Sanitaryware Group (VRSG) and Douglas Delabie.
The company said: “All the vandalresistant and anti-ligature sanitaryware products from VRSG adhere to stringent Home Office and NHS rules, being used not only in hospitals, but also prisons, secure units, hospitals, schools, and colleges, around the UK.” Among the range of VRSG products exclusive to Plumb Center are handwash basins, toilets, safe cell furniture, secure moulded shelves and mirrors, secure shower trays and panelling, and pneumatic and electronic washroom controls. Douglas Delabie is a manufacturer of sanitary fittings, and a “preferred supplier” to the prison and secure accommodation sectors. The company’s robust, durable anti-ligature products are chrome-plated or stainless steel finished, while their tough, reinforced fixings and shock-proof mechanisms are tested to more than 500,000 operations. Other safety features include recessed ligature-free fixings, and anti-blocking devices that only allow taps to run after the push-button is released.
