Window system ‘takes market by storm’

Fendor will show “a groundbreaking range of new products”, including its CleanVent horizontal sliding window system, apparently “taking the market by storm”.

Designed specifically to satisfy the “recently introduced and much more rigorous” standards for medium secure sectors, CleanVent incorporates a (reportedly) unique patented opening vent restricted by the company’s SecureLock mechanism. The company said: “Cleaning horizontal sliding windows is a major problem in healthcare environments. However with CleanVent the pane behind the secure mesh can now be cleaned quickly and easily, minimising the amount of time a patient needs to be removed from their room. The opening vent can be opened internally or externally to suit the particular need.” CleanVent can be supplied with manually or electronic open/close operated internal blinds and anti-ligature handles, while for heightened patient safety, the internal framing system is totally flush with the opening vent, and has bevelled corners, ensuring no edges or reveals on which patients can self-harm.
