BioCote claims healthcare engineers and estates managers undertaking new or refurbishment building projects can “dramatically reduce the risk of patient and staff exposure to potentially deadly bacteria like MRSA” by utilising building solutions that feature BioCote antimicrobial silver ion technology.
The technology, said to help to reduce bacteria levels by up to 99% compared to non-treated products, is incorporated into a range of flooring, wall cladding, and metal suspended ceiling systems all specifically manufactured for hygiene-critical environments. BioCote now works in partnership with flooring specialist Addagrip, wall and ceiling cladding supplier Advanced Hygienic Contracting, and Burgess Architectural Products, a designer/producer of metal suspended ceiling systems.
