Healthcare and dental practices can reportedly strengthen their fight against cross-infection using Hitachi’s “S-Series” room air conditioning range – the RAS SX8.
The S-Series “destroys 99.9 % of airborne viruses and bacteria”, while delivering “the most comfortable level of heating and cooling”. The sleek, wall-mounted S-Series is also reportedly “highly energy-efficient and cost-effective to run”. Airborne viruses, bacteria, and odours, are eradicated via ionised mist generated from the room air. Each unit also automatically cleans its micro-mesh stainless filter once the air conditioning operation has ended. The internal cleaning operation also controls mould growth. The system is reportedly the most energy-efficient of its type available, with a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 6.13, and an Energy Efficiency Ratio of 6.0. DC inverter technology allows rooms to reach the required temperature rapidly, with the speed of the system’s “Eco-Scroll” compressor then adjusted to an energy-saving mode to maintain the desired temperature efficiently. A “Real Dry” function sets humidity levels between 40% and 70% (in 5% increments).
