Water savings of up to 50% are reportedly achievable using the latest extension to Douglas Delabie’s Securitherm range – new thermostatic basin and sink mixers independently BuildCert tested and certified to NHS Model Engineering Specification D08/TMV3.
Bob Purdom, commercial director, said: “With the basin mixers regulated at 5 litres/min (at 3 bar), 50% water savings are delivered, and the sink mixers deliver 18 litres/minute for an optimised fill time. Users can select comfort temperatures to prevent water wastage. Safety is designed in, with precise temperature control and an anti-scald failsafe in the event of loss of cold water supply.” The swan neck swivel spouts are cast brass with a high quality chrome finish. Factory-set at 38°C, the mixed water temperature is adjustable between 20°C and 41°C (maximum). Easy-to-use control knobs, separate on/off, and temperature control, ensure smooth operation, while progressive temperature adjustment re-opens at the last temperature setting. Smooth internals are said to reduce the possibility of biofilm development.
