Miele Professional has added several new models to its professional laundry range. Features include bigger capacities and slimmer footprints, while Miele’s new heat-pump dryers reportedly deliver up to 60% savings in electricity costs.
Miele Professional’s first compact 10 kg capacity washing machine, the PW 5105 (shown), is available in both 230 v and 400 v electrical versions, with no restriction on installation requirements. Its 10 kg large capacity drum allows for easy loading of larger items, while the sluice cycle for thermal disinfection “ensures optimum cleaning results every time”. The high grade stainless steel Honeycomb washing drum, with its “unique convex pattern”, both significantly enhances cleaning performance, and reduces fabric wear. The “intelligent load control” automatically adjusts hot and cold water consumption depending on the size of the load during wash and rinse cycles. Fitting through “the slimmest of doorways for the smallest of laundries”, the Miele PT 8303 professional dryer is just 711 mm wide, and requires under a square metre of floor space. However performance is high thanks to a drum volume of approximately 300 litres. Available in electric or gas-heated versions, the SlimLine PT 8303 can accommodate 12 to 15 kg of laundry per cycle. In a single eight-hour day, one machine can dry around 220 kg of laundry (based on 16 cycles per day, each with a 13.6 kg load, and an initial residual moisture level of 50%).
