Experts in single use pulp bedpan disposal, Haigh, demonstrated the SOLO and award-winning Panaway models from its Sluicemaster range at the recent Hefma show in Torquay.
The company’s products include the “highly successful” Sluicemaster range comprising the SOLO, Classic+, and Panaway with hands-free opening and auto-start function – with each product boasting features and benefits for particular applications. From single bedpan disposal solutions to multiple product macerators, each has, built in, patented Bugban technology, offering what Haigh says is “an increased level of protection and greater control” in the fight against infection.
The Sluicemaster range offers the added benefit of full service and support “with total peace of mind”.
As “the ideal solution” for busy wards, the Panaway disposes of up to four items and operates with hands-free opening, auto-start, and an 85 second cycle time. Reduced upfront costs and exemption from periodic testing requirements, as well as energy consumption claimed to be to up to 50% less than competitor systems, are other key selling pints.
Offering small wards a quiet and fast solution, the SOLO disposes of a single pulp item in under 60 seconds using only cold water and a small amount of electricity, while the Classic+ disposes of four pulp products in under two minutes, using just 24 litres of cold water.
With the bedpan disposal systems already sited “in most of the major hospitals throughout the UK”, Haigh says it is seeing increased interest from international health organisations, with export activities showing “a very positive forecast”.
Nick Dale, sales manager, said: “We are extremely proud of the reputation we have built amongst our UK and international clients, and firmly believe that this comes from a real understanding of the needs of the end user and also their patients. Designing simplicity and functionality into all of our products makes a real difference to the user experience.”
