Rapid fault identification system

Facilities managers keen to know instantly which equipment in their hospital has developed a fault now have a potential solution with Starkstrom’s new REMOS REmote MOnitoring System, which links equipment via one analogue phone line site, and notifies designated staff members of problems such as blown lamps, low batteries in fire alarms, malfunctioning UPS equipment, and dirty HEPA filters in ultraclean canopies etc.

Once a fault has been identified on the retrofittable, expandable system, engineers can connect directly to the equipment on site to diagnose it and advise corrective action, ensuring repairs are undertaken promptly. Varying levels of service are available, and users receive a monthly report on all linked equipment. Starkstrom said: “What makes REMOS unique is that any number of pieces of equipment, from different suppliers, and operating on various systems, can be linked to a single telephone connection; each installation is designed to fulfil the hospital’s specific needs.”
