It can offer a capable alternative with its SoMo 650 handheld computer, a “high-performance, durable, and lightweight Windows Mobile-based solution small enough to fit in a tunic pocket”. “Sturdy and robust”, the SoMo 650 provides “an easy transition” for iPAQ 200 users, and has already been effectively deployed in healthcare facilities worldwide, “including many NHS Trusts”. Applications have included medication verification, ward-to-ward communication (iBleep), point-of-care diagnostics and documentation, and asset tracking. For environments requiring stringent infection control, the SoMo 650Rx features antimicrobial plastics, and is designed for integration into a variety of point-of-care solutions for monitoring vital signs, recording physician dictations, and documenting care.
