Catalyst Waste Solutions says its team of experienced ‘ex-NHS waste managers’ can help organisations ‘keen to reduce their waste, but not sure where to start’, by producing practical action plans and implementing change, as well as providing training, auditing, and procurement services.
The company said: “2012 is an exciting year for Catalyst Waste Solutions, and sees the release of our updated e-learning package, ‘Introduction to Healthcare Waste’, and the launch of our new ‘S2S Direct’ concept (Segregate2Save). Both services are based on the Safe Management of Healthcare Waste (2011) guidance, and are focused on achieving improved compliance and real cash savings.” Catalyst has also entered a ‘new strategic alliance’ with Low Carbon UK (see also page 51), which will provide complementary expertise in energy management and conservation, sustainability action plans, CHP and renewable technologies, and general assistance with reducing utility costs and carbon footprint. The company added: “This alliance will enable us to deliver a comprehensive range of support services that effectively meet the requirements of the wider NHS sustainability agenda.”
