Contour Casings has developed a ‘unique’ low surface temperature radiator (LST) guard for Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, to protect service users from dangerously hot surfaces.
The bespoke system incorporates a raised guard encased in an existing fin pipe heating system, fixed above floor level. The guard features a ‘pioneering’ drop-down front door – providing complete access to the casing interior for cleaning and maintenance, radius corners, and BioCote anti-microbial technology ‘to help reduce the presence of harmful infection and bacteria by up to 99.99%’.
