Leaderflush Shapland acquires Fitzpatrick Doors

Leaderflush Shapland, part of SIG plc, a specialist supplier to the construction and building markets, has acquired Birmingham-based Fitzpatrick Doors, which has manufactured metal doors and doorsets for the commercial and industrial building sectors for more than a century.

Kent NHS hospital to have only single rooms

During a visit to the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals Trust, Health Secretary Alan Johnson announced that a preferred bidder had been appointed to build a new £228 million hospital. Construction of the hospital, at Pembury, close to Tunbridge Wells, is now scheduled to begin.
