Ceiling systems match design ethos

Intelligent lighting for Romford

Simmtronic has provided an intelligent digital lighting control system for the new hospital at Romford. This £260 million PFI hospital is being built by Bovis Lend Lease for Barking, Havering & Redbridge Hospitals NHS Trust and the use of this technology represents a new approach to lighting control within hospitals, providing an opportunity for significant energy saving.

Sterishield, a new product from Dulux Trade, is a washable emulsion that inhibits bacterial populations such as MRSA. The unique formulation (patent pending) contains a non-hazardous silver bactericide and has been proven to work under real life conditions.

New generation hygienic shelving

The new Quartermaster 3 is the latest generation hygienic shelving system from Bedfords with a new metallic finish, developed specifically for the system’s nylon coated shelf, that is bonded to the base metal, guaranteeing no lift off or possibility of rusting if cut. The nylon coating process is also new and unique to the UK, and if required, other shelf finishes can still be offered, as before.
